change file type?

is there a way to change wma. files into a better audio file??

I <i>think</i> Audacity can import .WMA files... then just save as .WAV.

I pretty much assume you're running Windows since your last thread is about Windows Movie Maker. Anywho, you can use DBPowerAmp + the Windows Media codecs to convert a .wma file to another format. You can download it here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com (and the WMA codec here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-wma.htm )

However, since WMA is a lossy format, like MP3, OGG, and MPEG-4 Audio, you're not going to gain back any quality off of it. If you want the best quality possible, your best bet is to source directly from the CD as an uncompressed audio format like WAV or AIFF.
