Oh ya for sure.
The Chobits manga has a much deeper and more focused storyline than the anime. I love the manga version and all the different relationships that are explored within it ^_^
The anime was very toned down in terms of emotion, and well moved more in the sci-fi and fanservice direction instead of the romance side of things.
Volume 7 (Chat Room)...I found it was more like a summation of the series through the eyes of Sumomo and Kotoko, which then elaborated on where the characters were after the events of volume 6. The anime basically concludes in volume 6 after all. Though gotta love anything with Sumomo in it ^_^

That's because it is. Geneon removed the three recap episodes from their normal places in the series (Between 9 and 10, 18 and 19, and "Episode 27") and then compiled them on the seventh DVD at a lower price for completists. The Chiibits special was licensed later and was added to Disk 7 to make it attractive to more casual fans.Moonlight Soldier wrote:Volume 7 (Chat Room)...I found it was more like a summation of the series through the eyes of Sumomo and Kotoko, which then elaborated on where the characters were after the events of volume 6.
