movies based on anime

First off, Gogetasan? Stop with the all caps, dammit. You're fucking shit up here. Secondly, it's called Advent Children. Google for it.

There's books out there on anime related terms. I've seen 'em in media play, Borders, and Barnes and Nobles.

Interesting fact: Battle Royale started as a live action movie- and Tokyopop is turning it into a manga.

Not quite correct. BR was first a novel, published in August 1999, then the famous movie (2000), then the manga series written by the original author Koushun Takami and with art by Masayuki Taguchi. TokyoPop is just translating the Japanese manga.

Though with the popularity of the franchise, I'm curious if we'll be seeing an anime adaptation of the manga.

There is. From all accounts, it was really bad. However it, too, has a manga based on it coming out with the original author back in the writer's chair, so it might be better than the movie.

I beleive Square-Enix of America (who else?) has the rights to the movie and it will be released in DVD format in America a few months after the Japanese release. (....or they can be complete ass-holes and release it inside some crappy game just so they can sell it. <but that'll never happen

And I think it was Jupiter (Makoto/Lita) that was wheelchair-bound in that travesty. I don't want to watch it again to check, though.
Yeah, it almost makes me happy that DiC got it.... and that's something I never thought I would say...

I wathced an unofficial trailor that someone recorded; got it off one of the links posted earlier in the thread. The guy was laughing the whole time. It looked unfathomable corny. Looked like they mixed some 'Full House' type people into an old style anime.
