Well everytime i encode in xvid using virtual dub and then i open the file with windows media player the image shows upsidedown, this only happens with windows media player.
Any idea on how can it be solved

This happens on some video cards if the overlay used is RGB. It *might* be caused by some subtitle mixers that convert to rgb, or might be caused by your video card (by means of renderer) that requests rgb.
Have you installed some codec packs? They are pure evil most of the time and cause just that.
Anyway, you have "flip video" switch in xvid's configuration to help with this.
However, be aware that rgb is very bad colourspace for video. It's slow and often ugly. You can use the switch, but if you can find a way to display in yuy2, it's all for the better.
