Once again I ask this forum to help me out.
There's an anime that has caught my eye but yet again I am reluctant to buy it. Lately I've bought some medocre animes and I don't want any more of my money to be flushed down the toilet.

So enlighten me. How is Texhnolyze?

Not a bad show, but the first 3 episodes have to be some of the worst I've seen. It starts to get pretty good at episode 4. I haven't watched any past that as I want to wait for the local rental place to get it instead of having to buy a DVD that might be garbage.

i hate it when good anime gets of to a crapy start, it kinda pushes people away, which kinda screws things.

I just couldn't watch it beyond episode 10 or so. I really tried to like it too. Rarely have I stopped watching a series in the middle. :/

Depends on what you like, I suppose. I love it so far. It reminds me of David Cronenburg or Shinya Tsukamoto's work. Nervous, disjointed body modification cyberpunk standing-on-the-edge-of-the-end-of-civilazation story. Aside from the closing credits, the soundtrack is great, Yoshitoshi ABe's character designs are supurb and the story is intriging. I recommend it.

Bought it (couldn't rent it, Blockbuster barely has any anime, let along new stuff), and for the most part liked it except...

Was there any point to this scene(during the first episode about 5 1/2 minutes in)? There were flashes of an older guy (I'm making an educated guess and saying Ichise's dad) but other than that what was the point? Then another questionable scene between Ichise and the doctor six minutes into the fourth episode. Is it just fanboy service or something

Other than that I would like to continue the series.

I'm finding it to be somewhat weird, myself. I guess that comes as no suprise, seeing as it was made by the same people who did Lain.

l think l was watching the first episode and was all like "Whoa, she's a sex-bot!"
