mah.

I don't really believe in that, but that's just me. Perhaps it's parents who should be blamed for those things, not what kids watch. If you ask me, crappy kids are a problem coming from irresponsible parents...

But whatever. Myself, I say boo to censorship. Boobooboo.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Welcome to the Org. It's a pleasure meet you.
Hello.

Yes we WOULD like to see uncensored all the time.
Than you'll be watching anime meant for kids. The gov't has taken the responsibility of protecting youth like you from material they deemed inappropriate. Even though its annoying to you, its in row with your parents or at least those parents whom are in contol of the media industry.
No. I watch alot of diffrent animes. I mean the "13 and up" and above rateings. I dont want them to "protect" me. And dont call people youth when you dont know thier age. I dont care if Jesus Fuckin Crist comes down and deems it inapropriate, Ill whatch it if I like it. And parents know Jack Squat about anime.

And While I don't think that they should chop up anime and censor it so Kids can whatch it, I think TV censorship is good because... lets face it. Half of Adult Swims rateings and nearly all Cartoon networks rateings are made of Kids bellow 13.
So, we agree.
Not really. I mean like, Sailor moon and Crad Captors Sakura for example, shouldnt be hacked apart so Kids can whatch it. But they should downplay it a little so that kids who do whatch it dont crap thier pants and run crying to mommy.

OOps. I meant Card Captors not Crud Captors or Crad captors. And you can see that when I DO post I speak my mind.

LMAO

If you can go through life saying that the only "evil" you commited was editing a T.V. show then I think you'd be a rather nice person.

Evil was the wrong choice of word.
Pfft. Evil was a fine choice. Surely there are differing degrees of evil. Ruining a great show is obviously nowhere near a crime against humanity or anything of the sort, but it's bad never the less. I don't know about you, but the people that I know and encounter commit very little evil, and on that scale ruining a TV show would be pretty intense. It's not like I'm friends with a bunch of heartless bastards.

What's more, it's an epitimy of the learned taboos over substance and context, a wide spread style of thinking that I hate.

But what's to be done about it? Dragon Ball Z is worthless in its dubbed form, so just watch the Japanese. If the Japanese isn't available for a series, get bootlegs. Censorship is horrible, as are a lot of things, but we've just got to get around them.
Censorship is necessary, to an extent. Unfortunately, as a result, a lot of media suffers.

Thank you Tipper Gore...and Janet Jackson, of course.

Censorship is NOT necessary at all. They just figure that, "Hey it's a cartoon so it's met for childern, let's cut everyone out and make them sound like a bunch of bakas."

But The thing is that if they showed things uncensored people who be more open minded. For example, if they showed Sailor Moon as they way it's suppose to be then MAYBE some people wouldn't be all like "AHHHHH Lisbians are gross" and what not.

And I know there's all that gross, Adult Anime but I'm NOT talking about that. So what if they show about 5 seconds of nudeity. Women in Ontario are allowed *if they really wish* to go topless* It's not that big a deal. And Tv now a days is basilly all about sex or something along that lines.

They SHOULD keep the rating the show was meant to be shown at because it messes up the plot line and makes the show very dull and boring to watch. I'll stop no otherwise I will go on for a long time.

HERE HERE!

I agree with you competely! The world is already a mess as it is! If you show you kid this at a early stage they wouldn't make fun of people or wouldn't judge people... Plus, I find people who watch anime are WAY MORE NICER when you first met them.

'Kiddies'

Very true! I got a Sailor Moon Dvd Un-Cut verison and the rating on it was...NoT G BUT.... Suggested 13 and up for Mild Violence and sexuality, scary moments. I mean like come on! Half these shows are meant for teenagers.

And some of the ones meant for like 7 year olds have guns in it...*Starts shaking fist* Damn. You. Dubbers. for. 'removing'. the. guns. out. of. Yu-gi-oh.

They couldn't show the REALLY first season of Yu-gi-oh because 99% of the time there were guns....Plus, Yami was kinda evil lookin and that's probably scare some little ones out of their pants. But if you read the manga of some of these shows and the un-cut verisons, these shows weren't meant for kiddies.

Plus the kids over in Japan are laid back WAY more than we are and they're more open-minded too because of Anime!
