Animethon 11 AMV Contest - Deadline in one week

Post by Vlad G Pohnert » Mon May 31, 2004 12:33 am

Hi all,

So far the response has been great for the contest, however, we could still use a few more entries especially in Comedy and even a few more in Action/Adventure...

All the details and FTP submission information can be found at the Animethon 11 website HERE

Thanks,

Videos must set at least a 75% video to music (includes any song or sound track score) ratio. The remaining 25% can be any combination of dialogue or sound effects. Note that conversational dialog played over music does not qualify in the 75% category (i.e. trailers) unless intended as a song. Any video not meeting these criteria maybe accepted only by the discretion of the Anime Music Video Coordinator.
So are trailer good or not? I can't quite tell...

Oh yes. How would you like the signatures done for electronic submission?

For Animethon there is only a catagory for comedy and there no Parody catagory thus it does not include trailers, but at this point I am willing to put them into the comedy catagory...

In terms of signatures on the form, if you submit via FTP, you will be e-mail a summary of your videio informnation and verification you submitted them to the contest to which you must send a reply..

To be honest i'm surprised, I figured the action/adventure vids category would be packed right away. I figured the Drama category would be the hard one to fill. Was it the same way last year as well Vlad?
