well i personally think that music is way of expression and if some artists want to express their views about religion or christianity or whatever i respect them but... i just cant seem to like bands or artists that only talk about one thing: religion and i dont really like that topic so... :?

Even if you have an "overall" subject of Christianity, there are always other topics to explore. In general, I hear more topics from my favorite Christian artists than I will likely ever hear from artists that people like to talk about. I'd list some examples...but it's drawing on the time where I have to log off.

I is from the 80s, that much I remember. I also get this twitch when I do hear the song...
So I take it you aren't a big Nine Inch Nails fan.

If I recall their style right...I don't. I like groups like Six Pence None the Richer, Avalon, and Jars of Clay. Why'd you think I like NIN?

Bah... I'm still not used to no Edit button...

I meant to say: You're right. I don't.

I made one major typo that ruined my thinking for the rest of that post.

If you like Sixpence, check out Delerium. Leigh Nash sings on some of their songs (including a couple on the latest album, "Chimera").

On the other hand, you should track down the last NIN album, "Still". It's very removed from the earlier stuff, with stripped down 'unplugged' versions of a couple old songs, some new instrumentals, and a very bittersweet new song, And All That Could Have Been.

Oh! I listen to Dilerium, if we're talking about the same band. I've heard quite a few through New Life 91.9, the Christian music station I listen to. I think "Shout" is one of their songs... I'm not good with names, though...

I think that's Delirious? or something like that. Delerium is a band like Enigma (sorry, that's the closest I can come up with). They had a minor hit a couple years ago with the song "Silence" which had vocals performed by Sarah McLachlan. The new song they have, "After All" (which is off Chimera), has vocals by someone I've never even heard of before. It's a nice song though, always kept hearing it played in grocery stores  .

And although I have a somewhat extensive knowledge of 80s and 90s music, I can't for the life of me figure out what song that is. Is there another part of the song that doesn't have any expletives in it that might sound more familiar?

Yeah, back when they were called Pearl Jam.

I do like My Own Prison, though.

I like Stavesacre, they're Christian rock, right?

anyhow i like christian music...but not the sappy pappy stuff i more or less the rock/punk sounding stuff....yes it does exsist.

the only two that i like are Relient K and Jars of Clay. I like relient k more and not all of their stuff is christian but a good majority and it's just great they are great!!
