Why the hell is div x doing crazy shit!!
Ok heres whats happening. My friend ripped some rurouni kenshin episodes for me and he made them ogm files. Then I converted them to avi with virtual dub mod and compressed them with div x 5.1.1. And I intend on using div x. I started making my music video with windows movie maker 2. Now I separated the song and the episodes. And I exported it. While I was viewing it, the div x logo in the bottom right corner faded in during every clip.
Its supposed to just fade in and then fade out but it didn't do that.
what the hells going on?
am i in the twilight zone?

Windows Movie Maker uncompresses video files when you select them as if they were in Windows Media Player, so it loads the DivX logo in every clip you have.
To avoid this, just play through the clip until the divx logo completely fades; then move the cursor back to the start of the clip and it will be gone (as long as you don't play through the clip again).

Right Click on My computer and select properties. Click the hardware tab.
Select Device manager expand Sound, video and game controllers. Double click video codecs and click the Properties tab. You should see Divx or the divx decoder listed there, double click it and do what I mentioned earlier.
If that is too much you can probally find the decoder options in Start -> Programs listed under Divx. I'm not sure though as I don't use it anymore. I use fddshow to playback all of my divx encoded files.
