AnimeFest results...

I figured I'd let everyone know the results of AnimeFEST in Dallas. There was about 30 total entries and the contest went pretty well except for a few problems with the projector bulb burning out. They showed all the entries on an internal hotel TV channel nonstop throughout the con, so everyone who submitted got some exposure. The contest itself showed 13 entries which consisted top 4 in Drama, Action and Comedy + Judge's Choice. I hope to get the entire list of 13 up soon but the top vids were...

Action:
1st - Soultaker's Mission - Wonka
2nd - Needles - Carlos Corral
3rd - FLCL - Jason Wong

Drama:
1st - Service with a Smile - MexicanJunior (this is not a Drama vid btw :/ )
2nd - A Vampire Story - Wonka
3rd - Noir - Poor White Boy Productions (I wish the guy was there because he has a cool studio and bumper =P )

Comedy:
1st - Satan is my Master - Kurt Perry (This guy had the best vid of all. We tried to get him into joining the org and posting his vids because he has some awesome talent ^_^ )
2nd - Love Hina - Kurt Perry (same guy as above ^_^ )
3rd - Battery - Daniel Chang

Judge's Spotlight Choice:
Happy Fun Time - MexicanJunior (they must have been on crack to like this old vid =P )

Hopefully the coordinator will email us with a listing of all the entries to post on the org. Congrats to all the winners. ^_^

Hopefully MK will have more confidence in his AMv editing ablitlites now that he has put us all to shame with his greatness

LOL! AF went out of there way to make sure the slightest offensive thing in a vid would get it cut from competition. I'd probably be banned for life had I entered it. =P BTW, Julian (Beowulf) got screwed since his Kenshin vid should have placed in Drama. He gets an honorable mention from me for having a kick ass vid. ^_^ Did anyone email Jason Perry yet about joining the org? Carlos? Wonka?
