Any spam filter scans your mail too. In fact anything that even displays your mail has to scan it as well, in order to know what to display. The only difference is gmail will automatically target ads to you based on whats in your mail.DemonSpawn wrote:I don't know, I tend to be wary of anything that scans your email, whether it's innocent or not.

YEAH!Zarxrax wrote:Use an email program that isn't a piece of shit. Using Outlook is just inviting viruses into your system. I use Thunderbird.bote wrote::o I'm getting a bunch of such e-mails mainly from ".it" mails. WTF? And 2 got into the system (infecting .dll's) without me even opening them, so deletion doesn't help a bit in this case :? . Good thing I always update my Antivirus. :)

yea, i know outlook sucks, I use it because It is my own domain and I don;t use the email to sign up for stuff online, so I didn;t think it would be "found" by spammers and hackers. Guess I was wrong . well actually the main reason I use it is just pure lazyness... outlook is already there* so i don;t have to go hunting for another program to use. I think I will now though.
Oh yeah, heres an example of one of the emails i've been getting as it shows in outlook just for your information:

Important Bill!
Also I don't think its from this comunity anymore, since I only got a few that looked like addresses from Anime related addresses, and most of the addresses i've been getting lately are just random junk from company addresses, like Yahoo and stuff related to spam. 407cfeca0253604a@mx02.iprimus.com.au is an example. Probably just spammers.
