Inu Yasha is to Ranma 1/2

Well Inuyasha and Ranma are both romantic stories full of comedy. Inuyasha has a much darker side to the story though. Plus Ranma tends to end up in situations not unlike Tenchi, however Ranma enjoys it a little more.

Someone made the comment that you should pause the credits instead of read manga to know who made it.

Well I just thought I would put this in the open, though many probably realize it already.

Manga are often created first this means that the Anime often has a more refined storyline, as it is the second go around.

Anime however sometimes falls victim to time compression and useful though not vital scenes get the axe.

Also Manga and most printed text in general get away with a lot more in the censorship area even with Japan's lower censorship standards. (Yeah artistic freedom!)

On the topic of censorship I wish it would stop. The US censors the crap out of anything sexual but allows violence. I say allow both. People that blame music and TV for their crimes had the thought in their head to do something bad before hand. Super nice, never done anything wrong people don't go buy a rock album and mow down an entire crowd. They were already bad. They just needed an excuse or motivation and would have found one eventually. Though overly sheltered kids freak when they encounter things in real life. Besides you can block channels, so society should not pay the price. Plus some depend on censorship to make up for slack parenting skills. R rated movies never bothered me when I was young, but I had people that payed attention to my reactions. I grew up with a lot of kids that would flip over a curse word or the word boob or something like that. If that is your biggest problem in life, consider yourself lucky.

I love shaking things up though I went a little off topic.

Anyway, yes Ranma and Inuyasha share qualities and an artist. The voice actors do a lot of work too. Usually it is only a small group that does most of the animes produced by a company. Inuyasha and Kagome’s voices are in a lot of anime.
