Unfortunately this kinda thing happens, I haven't received any flame ops yet, but i'm sure its coming. I just finished a vid that looks like a female/female romance, i'm sure the flames will come. In the end I guess you just gotta take the good with the bad. I've always tried to be helpful and polite with my reviews even if a blind monkey with no hands could have done a better job. But some people like to write trash like...

Lets face it you'd only write something like this for the express purpose of insulting the creator and thats just not right. There is a huge difference between honesty and being rude. People who write this kind of garbage really don't matter, so ignore them.

As for the examples I listed above, I actually sent the creator of that particular vid a message apologizing on behalf of the Org. Belittling each other is not what this is supposed to be about.


I would ask you this though Second Element. Are ratings really so important? A barely even look at the ratings people give, its the comments that matter, if all they are gonna put in the comments is a k then well they just don't matter and aren't worth a second thought.

Blah- forgive me for venting, but I just got my first, classic, "all 1's" opinion score on one of my group's videos. The most frustrating part of it is that the person who left the opinion left no reasons for why they gave us such a poor score, all the field boxes just had "k" in them, I suppose mostly just to fill up the open fields so that the automated system would accept their opinion.

I believe this was a very unfair review- left for the angsty purpose of just dropping our ratings or else to squick us ( I don't even know who this person is ) because I would have at least appreciated a reason as to why we got the score. Oh well.

So how has everyone else handled this if/when they had the same thing happen. And were you able to resolve it with the person who left the review?

Had the same thing happen to me. It's just some "troll" trying to bring all the top videos (opinion scores) down the scale. Just ignore it.

I've had the opposite problem; some asskisser gave a bad video all 10s so I would watch their vids or go to their website or some junk like that. I complained a fucking blue streak (c'mon, this is me we're talking about ), but I'm sure nobody would take it off, since they did paste in sufficient fake praise in the boxes along with their "please go 2 my site" babbling.

If it's any consolation, I've heard that the lowest and highest ratings aren't factored into your total score, so it shouldn't affect that, if you're worried about it.

Not had anything like that (yet), but the first opinion anyone left for one of my vids was a load of bad scores followed by "no comment." I wasn't annoyed by the bad scores so much as hime not having enough respect to tell me why he didn't like it.

You people complain about getting all 10's ? So what if the viewer didn't give you enough feedback? You can't expect everyone to type much and give you something that'd help you raise your skills. Be satisfied if you actually get a perfect score even though you know you didn't deserve it. Lots of different people get to op. videos and everyone has different approach. If you look by age, younger members are kinda more generous, which is perfectly normal since they still might not have enough experience to notice the flaws and give you lower scores. You want a review "to the bone"? There are plenty of people who give such reviews (Omny, godix, Ari...) and I don't think they'd mind a bit to give you an in-depth review .

As for all 1's reviews...in 99% of cases a video cannot possibly get all 1's no matter how bad it is. IMO the only videos that actually deserve 1's all the ripp-off videos. If the video editing clips were stolen from a video I know I'd give the creator 1's without any doubt whatsoever. And 1 reviews should really be removed from other opinions. I know the admins. and mods. are very busy, but I'm sure deleting the op. entry doesn't take more than 2 mins. .

But what's the point then? The satisfaction comes from getting a reward for a job well done, not from the row of 10s you're given by someone who's just messing about.
