Uhm...i'm not sure if I'm getting what you're saying, but that preticular scene is supposed to be like that. I was a dream like sequence where everyone was moving as still shots, slowly being blended together. Hense the blended frames.

Nope, never seen the movie.

The blend pattern did look a bit consistent when separating the fields in AVISynth, though, so that should have tipped me off. Ah well, live and learn.
