Same here. :)

Yeah, I think it could work with some restrictions to prevent abuse of the feature. For example it could be set so that you could delete the video file only once in two or three months.

And possibly the entire VCA. You know me.
It's only natural for you to want to get rid of what you're jealous of.
Actually I've never seen your videos. But I'd delete them anyways. And Godix. That guy insults me more then you do. And that is hard.

I just think we hated each other in a past life. If I was admin, I'b probably delete your vids and your avatar. I hate your avatar. And I'd probably spam the words 'OMGE AI MM TEH FAGAG!' all over your profile.

I'd put gay porn on Godix's.

Looks like Pyle got his way with the avatar.

10 Days, CaT's gonna be pissed...

Hmm...work on guides? Is there a list of things left to be filled in, or is it more of a technological update and revision thing?

And then you wouldn't be admin for very long after that.

Sorry for the double post...

The latter, from what I have heard (and seen) of it; among other things, XviD 1.0 and AVISynth 2.5 are out now. After a year and a half since the last revision, I'd say it was time for an update too.

I ask because I could probably (at least after school gets out) create a nice guide for editing video using the tools available in Linux (MEncoder, Transcode, Cinelerra, CinePaint, AVIDemux, Audacity...). It seems that the theoretical information is all well covered, as well as some of the popular Windows tools and a separate guide for Mac users, but I saw a hole around Linux (maybe for a reason - there probably aren't too many other people even trying to edit video using only open-source tools). I do know that a technical update is due for AVISynth and XviD, but I unfortunately can't install and use the first (too bad, it looks like fun), and am not yet the best person to talk to about the gritty details of codec parameters and internals, using more of an educated guess and trial-and-error approach to getting good compression results.

I for one would like to know why Janzki gets his request processed so early, and I'm still waiting :|

Wait, I know! That's because he's better than me

And a guide for linux would probably not be a bad idea.

I can feel your pain. :( But I assure you, I didn't resort to bribery or anything. :P

I gotta start paying more attention to threads even if the topic doesn't sound interesting...

I started a guide like this:

http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~yipdw/amvli ... linux.html

Then, I realized two things:

(1) I'd have to explain how to construct and operate a GNU/Linux system, as well as explain how to edit video. Nuh uh. I'm not going to do that.

(2) There's a very small subset of people who will want to use GNU/Linux systems as video workstations. These people are either (a) film professionals who work in studios with their own IT staff or (b) crazy people like me who actually enjoy working out all this stuff on their own. Neither type of person requires a guide to AMVing.
