Good Anime Soundtrack deals
I was looking for some anime soundtracks online, but they were seriously expensive on all the sites I went to. Does anyone know a site that sells legit soundtracks for good prices? I'm particularly looking for Saiyuki. I could always try eBay, but a lot of the stuff I find there is bootlegged. Any suggestions?

Try looking around for Pioneer/Geneon or ADV soundtracks. They are limited to certain series' but I really like them. I have three to date that I've bought as cds *others have been included in my dvd collections etc*
They're usually not too bad price wise, but in my experience, it's best to look for them at conventions. You can get good legit soundtracks reeeeeeal cheap there.
Ex: Slayers the Motion Picture OST by ADV ~ $10

Are there soundtracks are legit?
If soundtracks aren't domestic then they will be expensive. The website that sells imports at the lowest prices I've seen is Yes Asia.

Let me introduce you to your new best friend in anime related digital media from overseas:
CD Japan
Better prices than Yes Asia, its direct from the source (your order will ship from Japan), and its perfectly legit. (CD Japan is a division of a Japanese Store called NeoWing)
However, all they have is Japanese domestic market goods, so dvds will be R2, but cds are all region(actually cds aren't region encoded), so its ok.
Now full cds won't be $10 like the ADV U.S. releases, but they are very well priced for import. Basically, you pay what they cost to get in Japan, and shipping is very reasonable. (None of my orders from them have exceeded $20 in S&H, and that's with EMS)
Oh, and here's for ryuu:
Saiyuki CDs galore

Well, you have to be willing to pay the cost of import goods.Miyavi-type wrote:I don't believe so, but it's anyone's pick.Vlad86 wrote:Let me introduce you to your new best friend in anime related digital media from overseas:

U.S. domestic releases will be cheaper, but sometimes you get jipped.
Case in point: Hellsing OST 1.
The U.S. release has 19 tracks, while the Japanese release has 20.
Now I know $10 might not be worth it for 1 track, but I like the "authenticity" of the Japanese release. (if you're wondering, the song was the ending theme: "Shine" by Mr.Big. My guess, legal reasons prevented it from being on the U.S. release)
Oh and Japanese cds don't have that "security" tape crap. Once again not a major selling point, but meh.
