I downloaded it but im pretty sure i screwed it up cause none of its working, can anyone tell me if this actually works or not? and can someone explain ogm files? :|

not a big fan of codec packs myself, but imo the "K-Lite Mega Codec Pack" should give you everything your heart desires and it is a reliable source.

OGM is a container format similar to AVI. To play them back, you need a player that has built-in support or the DirectShow filters for them.

My personal favorite is Media Player Classic, which has built-in support. You can get it from doom9's download page or you can get the DirectShow filters from the same page (under "Filters", you need to select "show all filters" first; it's the "Ogg Vorbis Direct Show filter implementation").
