Quite possibly the best Akira lip sync video ever. To bad I don't have it anymore.

Note: Don't ever lend your amv cds to anyone. EVEN your best friends... -_- If you do at least make copies.
You make copies BEFORE you lend them to anyone.

This lego project is pissing me off, my mom swung my door open and the dog flew in... I had to redo the entire scene... 102 hand frames thrown out... Fucking dog.

Well I lent them to him for safe keeping for when I left for basic training. I haven't seen them since... :|

I've dropped quite a few projects. Usually it's if

1) I realize that the video is boring
2) I just do not want to work on the project anymore
3) The video is not at all turning out the way I wanted, and sometimes the song just ends up not working for the anime
4) I find a different song that works better

I actually delete the vast majority of what I start. I tend to play around and experiment so most projects I start are for the specific purpose of trying out a single effect/mood/whatever idea. Once I figure out how to do my idea I generally look at the project and go 'Jesus that sucks' then delete it. I usually base my decision on if it's painfully obvious the entire video is built around a single effect/transition/scene/whatever or not. I think I've tried around 25 different song/anime combos so far but only 8 were worth actually finishing and I'm sure some would argue that those eight weren't worth it either.

I give up when it's blatant that I don't have the ideas/skill to pull off the video the way I want it. This happens a lot. Some I do put on the back burner, but the really bad ones I delete pronto.

#1 reason for not finishing videos: hard drive failure! rawr...

I spent most of 2003 doing nothing but throwing videos down the drain... I think that the total number of casualties were 7 or 8. sometimes it would be because the idea was pretty weak and wouldn't hold out. there were a few though that were ideas that were brought out by some sort of issues that were going on in my life. but after some time, I would resolve the issue and then the drive to make that video died shortly after.

hopefully though 2004 won't be the same. im almost done with one vid and have a flood of ideas to either work or throw out.
