would you really want to admit that you bought the sequel on purpose?

anyway, what part does the manga play in all this? is it what the first movie was based on? or does the manga go through both movies... or is it before the first movie? OR NOT PART OF THEM AT ALL??!!... really though, i'd like to know

Everything spawns from the original book, which the manga is based on (more acurately than the movie-or so I'm told).
