Or, more accurately, "I have sinned. I made a video I wanted to make that was music + anime + sync + action + effects/transitions. Oh lordy. "

Ahh, that's the one.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I can't thank you enough for that one sentence! :D
Indeed!

Frankly, I hope this love-hate only encourages more creators to do that, rather than otherwise. These ones are still the reason why I come to the .org
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

so you watch, download, and make other videos that don't fall into that category, but ohhhh that's your only reason for coming to the org

Fyrt is the usual pointed stick that pokes at unclarities. Well done.

No, of course that's not what I meant. I didn't say only reason.
To clarify: I'm not saying I don't enjoy 'conventional' videos. In fact I love them. But if these were the only kind of videos available, the .org wouldn't have the appeal that it does to me right now.

To explain: conventional videos follow certain conventions. Once you see enough of them, you usually know what you can expect. In fact, you can often watch a vid and say 'I could've thought of that!'
But what really appeals to me is when after seeing something, I go 'I would never have thought of that!'. It's exciting to see things that don't quite line up with what you expected of them. And if the videos here didn't provide me with a regular dose of that 'unexpected punch factor', I wouldn't be so determinded to stick around.

I don't think i could've said it any better myself, I actually would've said it worse to where people wouldn't understand what I was saying at all. I'm a new member, i'll admit, but i've been watching AMV's since about 2000. Sure i'd download them off kazaa, but hey, thats where I first saw some of AtomX's stuff. Anyway, I feel that watching a person's video that has the same style of editing that you do is great, it makes you feel like other people are going through the same problems with Premiere as you are! But watching a video that is completely off the wall and totally different I feel is even better. I watched XenoDrakes Fadded video and I loved it. Its one of my favorite videos simply because it was the first of its kind that i saw. I never really gave lip sync a thought and never really tried. It was that video that got me into it and it was that video that got me to ask him to help me. So now i'm his so called Student and he has helped me more than anyone could have. That is one reason the org is so great. It focuses on ALL types of AMV's, good or bad, and youi are hardly limited at all on what you do. Its like you are allowed to be an individual. Even though Xeno is showing me tons of stuff, we have very different editing styles. We are both working on a project right now, and when its finished, it will be easy to see what part I worked on, and what part he worked on.
