playing mac video on a windows pc
is there a player that will play a what i believe to be a mac video file since i have tried everything else that comes to mind such as fixing it and converting it to a new format. i think the extension was .rar but im not entirely sure since im downloading it again after deleting it.

Once you have it unarchived, Quicktime for Windows should be able to play anything that's .mov. I've heard the Windows version of the player is rather clunky, so there should be other programs that can use Quicktime as well. Don't ask me what they are, though; I'm on the Mac side.

I think quicktime is trying very hard to be the only .mov capable player (realplayer is doing the same thing). You can however use Media Player Classic (an opensource gnu player based on microsofts media player 6.4) in combination with quicktime alternative.Captain Tylor wrote:Once you have it unarchived, Quicktime for Windows should be able to play anything that's .mov. They have an alternative for realplayer content too.
