Sigh, yet ANOTHER series I need to watch sometime. I'll probably start picking it up after I finish Nadia or MKR 2. The thing I hear the most is, yes, how "slow" it moves, but that's something I can handle. It took me a while to enjoy the pace of Evangelion, until I accepted it's pace, and it's still my favorite series. It's like they always say, it's not the destination, it's the journey.

For me Noir isn't and never has been about the Soldats, or Arutena, or anything plot related. It's just a story about these two women and their lives, daily trials and tribulations. I admit that definetly some aspects of the show go slowly, but overall I wouldn't see it as a slow moving show, story wise, because for me the story is just their lives. I love Noir, I can understand that a lot of people don't like it, but a lot of people like it, too!

I dunno, I see that a lot of people's minds work differently. For me I have to get the feel for a show before I can start to truly enjoy it. When I got Bebop volume 1 I didn't really like the first to episodes much, I didn't really feel like going on. I got the feel of the show and started to love it starting with the 3rd episode, and after watching all the episodes on the DVD I went back and watched the first 3 again, the 1st two instantly being some of my favorites, and ironically the third being my least favorite.Kearly wrote:I have to say, someone who can't stand more than two episodes of bebop, thats rare. I think the show is overrated, but it was definitely one of the best examples of a mass appeal anime that I have seen.tfc_masta wrote:I have only watched the first 2 episodes and then i stopped. ( I rented the first DVD from local store)
i dunno if i should rent it again and actually finish it. Then again, I am struggling hard to get my friend to watch cowboy bebop and he has done the same thing i did here. watched 2 episodes then just decided to not go on.
In my humble opinion, it's stupid to just watch two episodes and stop. Serioisly. If you only own 2 episodes of the series I can understand that, but if you have 4 or 5 episodes in your grasp, it's kind of short sighted to just stop after two, atleast give the rest a chance, since a lot of series don't actually pick up intil at least the third episode.

Noir is the only anime DVD i've seen that's had it's own 2min long advert without it being on sale or something.
I still didn't buy it though :¬ \

Why would you intend to make a fragmented sentence?bazanime wrote:Its nice, cool sometimes and stuff.....I just watched it at a time in my otaku life when i was getting tired of these emotional female shows with cruel pasts and killing men to get over it but they are actually soft inside....crap!! Interesting fact: after accidentally hitting the control, I discovered that it is possible to watch Noir at 1.5x speed without any noticeable change in the show. It's that slow.
I still quite like it, though.
