Why not use Bit torrent?

Post by NuclearToast » Tue Feb 17, 2004 1:29 am

It seems to me that you are protecting your bandwidth .... but how come you dont provide Both a download service and a Bit torrent tracker client to share the bandwidths, and your downloads.... sure some times people wont be seeding, but thats what the main download is for, Why shoulder all the burden of bandwidth soly on one source.... People can share reducing the bandwidth load. Some people can't donate financially... or make pledges. I myself can't even pledge a single dime... unless I don't want to eat for a day or two. As is i am buying Ramen Noodles on my credit card..... but what I can do is share bandwidth.

If I created something as beautiful as ANY of theses AMVs... I would love for people to see my work.... this is just a suggestion to make it more accessable for everybody.

There's a forum... called.... Site Suggestions.... and you... Shatner.... can ask.... your questions.... about.... the site... there.

People do have BTs for very large files, like the DDR Project. 'k?

This has been suggested several times (in the site suggestions forum)...
try to do a search for "bittorrent" in the forum

Apparently Phade doesn't like bittorrent (lots of people have problems configuring it), and for most users the donut server is enough for downloading.

However you can find sometimes some bittorrent downloads in the AMV announcement forum (as StB said, it's often for huge projects)
