I've seen the first 4 episodes of this, and I was impressed. Gainax, the creators of Evangelion, FLCL, and other good stuff, has once again proved themselves they can do anything. This kiddie show is about a girl named Yuushi who's 17 years old but looks like a 10 year old because of some curse. She wants to "grow up" in order to be an adult so she decides to become a Platina Princess. That will enable her to obtain a special tiara in which she can make one wish. Guess what that wish is.

Seen it all & Loved it! Right there next to Stellvia and Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar. The best thing about Puchi Puri Yuushi.... Grenda is voiced by the same actress who does "Osaka" in Azumanga Daioh. Other 'Daioh' alumni include the disturbingly perverted teacher Kimura who does Grenda's assistant, and later on you hear "Chiyo-chan" playing a fairy. It's so cute.

Grenda is my favorite. All of her "fight" scenes are done in the classic, budget cutting, low frame rate, fast paced Gainax style seen in FLCL, Magical Shopping District, and Mahoromatic. Nearly all of this kind of animation is devoted exclussively to Grenda - especially when they go to Hell (world) to recover one of the crystal flowers.

Also, more times than not, she slips into her "Osaka" tone of voice. If you listen carefully, it is hilarious.
