God wtf is up with that do canadians not make as much money as we do? 40 dollars for a dvd? That may be some canadian tax to pay for your health care. Maybe the fun tax or something. I understand that the british have to play a tv tax wtf. I would march up to parliment or whatever canada has and pull out the wuss in charge and tell him to drop the fun tax.

Yeah, but most British TV is commercial free. I'd pay a tax for that.

I am from Canada and I havent red this thread all the way
but I just want to clear some things here, first , true u can pay 40$
for a DVD I remember having payed like 35$ for my first anime
dvd but that was in 2000 and times have changed at I wont ever pay that
price again for a DVD. But I really dont like what ur saying, its not
canada, its worlwide, theres small cities in the us too with kids that will say
that they sell anime at 40$ the dvd. I live in canada and I dont have
any problem to buy online or buy any damn anime dvd for 10$ can. And all
american ppl that think that this is true well ya it may be but if he wants
to pay 40$ for his dvd well that his choice but dont come blame canada.
And about not having any anime on canadian tv thats not true at all. Ok u have ur adultswim and other shows I dont know and dont care about in the us but u have our owns too. There is anime on tv, its not just the anime I wanna see, and wtf is about 18 and can't buying online I really havent understood that one, get a license, what license ?
