What's a creative young man to do. If you've seen my profile, you know I'm a chef. It's my job to be creative, well, was my job. I quit my job and am on vacation. I want to know how to make AMVs. Premier, sound forge if necessary, photoshop (which I already know like the back of my hand) . . . how can I do this?
People always seem frustrated, is it really that hard? Or just time-consuming, frustrating, and has the tendancy to crash and burn. What can I do to become a fine contributor?[/b]
Helps for the newbie

In my comparatively limited experience it's been frustrating at times getting everything to work right, but after a couple months I finally figured out how to get everything working and it's been running smoothly from there. Once you get everything working it's just a matter of finding the time to acquire footage (the real headache) and assemble it to fit your idea...

Hi, perhaps this thread would best belong in the General AMV forum.
Editing has its ups and downs, and of course it variates from person to person. At first, it took me awhile to learn how to acquire video/audio source and how to use my editing program, but it was an overall enjoyable experience as I progressed. When I edited my very first AMV using Windows Movie Maker (which was a good starting program for me, but lacks greatly for my needs now). The video didn't turn out that great, but it was fun, and that was all that mattered. You might experience some frustration and whatnot while creating vids, but don't worry about that. Try it out and see how you like it for the time being.
