lol, in case no one noticed it, since we are the Lilam (or sumtin like that) we are the offspring of Lillith... the offspring of Lillith are demons... therefore through the transitive property... we are demons, and of course we are fighting angels

You're right, Nagisa Kaoru does say that humans are the lilith. So, that means fighting Angels did have a meaning. Because I read somewhere in the link which Jonathan02us posted, that aomeone said that the fight with Angels was something used just to make the anime more exciting or something like that.
