I need a reliable procedure to rip .cpk video files off a Sega Saturn anime game. I’ve tried CPKPlay and it doesn’t copy the whole video. Does anybody know if this program has ever been updated since ver 1.1? I’ve also tried acpk2avi.exe and encountered the same problem. I know a codec for this file type exists; it’s made by The Duck Corporation. I can’t find any information on the codec on the company’s website. I’ve tried the web, other video forms and even had a friend who knows Japanese look on Yahoo Japan for me with no luck. I even tried it on multiple computers thinking it might be a conflict of some kind but the results where the same.
Any Ideas?

Sega Saturn games used two different codecs (not counting the very few MPEG games). Most games had .CPKs, which are an older version of the classic Cinepack codec, while some games had .AVIs compressed with Duck's TrueMotion codec.
For CPKs, I've always used an old Windows 3.1 application called CPKView and did my conversions with the old CPK2AVI. However, this site has several interesting Saturn utilities that I haven't tried, but their descriptions seem to be promising.
Duck's TrueMotion codec has always given me problems. Even with the VfW video codec, I could never get the audio to play, since the compression code has been doubly assigned to VoxWare's MetaVoice and Duck's TrueMotion. Again, the site above seems to have the utilites you're looking for.
