My Magnavox DVD player is capable of playing any brand of DVD media, especially those no-name brands. Hell, I bet if I authored dvd media to cardboard shaped as a dvd, it would still play it
What brand would you recommend using for distro? Thanks!
No, it does depend on the brand of media you choose. Princo, for example, is utter and complete horseshit. I burned some data onto a couple of Princo DVDs about three months ago; within two weeks they were completely unreadable on four different DVD drives.SQ wrote:Well, the problem doesn't really lie in the brand of DVD(I believe) but in the DVD player. Older players don't play DVD+/-Rs no matter how "versatile" they are. I'm one of those unfortunate people. ~_~
But luckily the PS2's DVD/DVD-Rom can play anything so far.
