To my knowledge there have been 2 free comic book days so far. It is legit. Basically to encourage readership, Marvel, Darkhorse, Image, and DC, have shipped reprints of their comics to local comic stores. I have issues of Ultimate Spiderman, Ultimate X-Men, Transformers, GI Joe, Justice League, and Star Wars that I got from the free comic day.
Basically all you have to do is walk into any local comic book store on that day and they usually give you the choice of one of about six titles they are distributing. You don't need to buy anything to get the free comic.

You think that is dissapointing? How about walking out of the Free Record Shop with a jacket full of cd's, then getting your ass busted because the records aren't really free.Jonathan02us wrote:Oh they limit wat u get ...... man that sucks ... i though they let u go and get an unlimited amount of watever u wanted in the store ... but i guess that is better than nothing...
I call that false advertising.

You're all a bunch of freeloading kleptos!
I went to Sarges Comics in Connecticut during the free comic days. I know the proprietor. He had extra issues left over after the actual free comic day, so he gave me the other issues I didn't get. So if you don't get them all on the Free Comic Day, just go back after the day is over. The stores will usually still have surplus to give away.
Let us hope we don't have similiar confusion the next time DC has the 10 cent comic book promotion.

Check out the site because it has a store locator on one of the pages, im sure they have some over there in Miami, its a world wide event, i think ...ryuu_hime13 wrote:I wish stores in Miami did that...I doubt they do, because I have a bunch of comic-book freak friends and they'd have mentioned it. Too bad. It'd be awesome if I could get some Batman stuff to send to Joji-kun (Anime Sensei I) in Panama.

There trying to make it into an international celibration. I know in the second yeay a few other countries joined in the fun. I go, but have been disapointed both times. Last time slave labour comics even had a couple freebies (My fave company), but since I wasen't at the comic shop three seconds before they opened, I didn't get any.
