You will hate this AMV.

Post by danielwang » Tue Dec 30, 2003 2:03 am

It's might not even be an AMV, technically.

A "music video", done in AMV style, completely to:
Flashy transitions
Studio logos
DVD menu clips
Opening sequences
Title card scenes
Cut-between clips
and the credits

The aforementioned DVD and cutbetweens will:
NOT include anything from the actual anime (no OutlawStar / GndmSeed)
(or look like anime, so no Cowboy Bebop opening)
Will OBVIOUSLY be a staple sequence, or (dot hack)
will CLEARLY have credit text on them. (Trigun ok)

.h4x//SIGN and .h4x//Liminality OP really looks like anime, although anyone who'se seen the series will clearly spot that it's the opening. If you have the first disc, with textless OP/ED, you won't notice the ddifference.

The title of this?
"Not An AMV: The Stuff You Don't See"

The music I'm ruining?
Final Fantasy FFVIIj Battle Theme (build 151)
or maybe that dull "Windows Welcome Music"
(extract Welcome Music from msoobe or Tour Windows XP)

- "Bandai" studio logo (animated)
- "Sunrise" studio logo (animated)
- that one that did Digimon, their studio logo is cool (animated)
- Pony Canyon studio logo (still, I can flash it once)
Wings of Honneamise: THE CREDITS
Adventures of Mini-goddess: The OPENING, the CREDITS
Aa! Megami-sama: The DVD MENU
Groove Adventure Rave: The CREDITS
.h4x/SIGN: The OPENING, CUT BETWEEN, the CLOSING CREDITS
* = The closing's boring except for one part. The opening looks too much like anime.
Angelic Layer: The OPENING ^, The CREDITS *
 * Taken from the actual anime but a shooting star tells u its not footage
King of Bandit Jing: The CREDITS
Gundam SEED: The OPENING^, the CREDITS
^ = Anime footage in a frame, with character profile on top
Evangelion, Neon Genesis: The CREDITS $
 $ = Static, just a moon scene
Ninja Scroll: The CUT BETWEEN

Btw if you haven't known, the cut between is used to cut to cmmercial and back. It's NOT on the Toonami build, but on the Retail distro.

Images soon!

Wow, this thread got moved really fast. Okay, ignore my earlier post.

Somehow, though, I don't think you should have explicitly told us that none of it was going to be actual animé footage... just let us figure it out for ourselves instead. It's funner that way. :)

The bigger question is, though, do you think you can actually make an entertaining video out of just the stuff you listed?

Mods;
Thanks for Moving it. I think I'm still gonna get Flamed though.

Your video is not an AMV.
Time to decontaminate the Golden Doughnut from this plague.
It's infected the rest of the AMVs in the folder and now they need to be all cleaned using Norton Anti-Suck or maybe McAffee StupidScan.

Please don't sully the doughnut we have enough of that from N00bville.

- Working late
Looks like you're going to working Late once I get this done.
