Gendou-sama was bad-ass,

he intimadated people with his bad-ass-ness and was stern in his uncanny ability to not care about people.

I guess the reason he failed to get his insturmentality is because of his poor treatment of Shinji. Had Gendou raised Shinji like a son, teaching him how to be bad-ass and hide your emotions, Rei wouldn't have gave a damn about him, and thus Gendou would have succeeded. Luckily for us (or just me) that's not the way it happened.

Sure Gendou is very emotionally weak... but he's still an awsome character.

Yeah i guess that Gendou was an awsome character but he need to show a little bit more feeling than wat he showed, it would have been nice ... if he at least treated Shinji with the least kindness that a father would show their son, then mayb things would have been different, but then other problems would hope on board ... like shinji would be too caught up with his fathers feeling, that he would have a harder time concentrating on piloting the eva, look at asuka when she had that whole break down thing because of that, she wasnt able to link up with her eva and then wat happened ... so i liked it better when Gendou was the way he was that way everything would turn out as planned by the author ... well thats my two cents about that... 8)

EVA can be interputted as such, mostly it talks about psycology and I think that the mech action is just to draw mech lovers. The show talks about life and the choices that we make in life, how we make up our lives and how it shapes and affects the lives of others. But the way I'm starting to talk, you think if i have nothing better to do with my life, but that is just my opinion.

Yeah i agree ... its mainly about life and the action in the series just brings those anime lovers that like action into it .... explanding their viewers and making more money...
