You're Under Arrest! (Not quite agian)

I'm just looking for some clarification, I rented You're Under Arrest previously, first three volumes from AnimEigo. As I understand it, the first four eps were of the OVA, with the remainder of the 50+ ep series were the original TV series.

But, ADV also has a release for YUA, could someone confirm for me that this is actually You're Under Arrest! II! that I saw FanSubbed a couple of years ago? Or is ADV Attampting some sort of sadistic re-release with 3 eps per DVD instead of 4, and charging more money?

I believe ADV released the Your Under Arrest mini specials, and they also released the movie. I don't think anyone got rights to YUA 2.

Movie? That would explain the improved animation that even makes the OVA pale in comparison...

Hrm... YUA Movie + Patlabor: The Movie = S.W.A.T. Trailer Audio = ?

I'd need both movies.

This is sad, I -own- Patlabor: The Movie on DVD... My DVD ROM has just gone defunct. Ha ha ha. Irony... ;_;

You're correct in that the first 4 episodes were an OVA...the remaining 48 episodes were the TV series. ADV has rights to the Mini-Specials and Movie which are just continuations of the entire series, but not part of the TV-series.

no no the calculation is:

YUA Movie + Patlabor: The Movie + stupid paintball battle with terrorists = lackluster entertainment value

Either be silly or be serious...
YUA, sadly can't do both...
