I want to create an AMV but i need some sugestions...
Hi Guys,
I really want to create a new AMV, i will use any anime, and song sugested. This will be my first anime music video, and i am doing this for the fun of it, and the experiance.
I would greately apreciate it if someone could give me some ideas.
Thank You

Please, do not succumb to the temptation to make a Dragonball Z or Evangelion video, and please don't use Linkin Park for your music.
You may well turn out the AMV equivalent of a gold ingot, but public perception would have two strikes against you. DBZ and Linkin Park are forever linked in AMV circles, much to the chagrin of many.

All we can really do is give you guidlines, because it's really up to you to be creative with your work. It's best to use what inspires you.
I suggest using an anime that you have on DVD or VHS, or one you can rent from a rental store (downloading fansubs or taking from other's videos makes the video have minimal quality). Plus, usually if you own it you like it, and I would say make a video to an anime you like. But keep in mind we are all sick of DBZ videos.
Now find a song that you love (because usually you will like to watch your videos over and over if it's to a song you like rather than to a song you don't), and try to pick one that hasn't been used much or at all (we've all seen a little too much of Linkin Park and System of a Down), then put it to an anime you think suits it. Try to connect the song to the series.
Now, plan until you know exactly what's going to go where (I would read Phade's Guide for a good way to approach creating your AMV, especially if you're new to this).
If you want to make an original video, look at the Most Used Music section on your member main page to get a good idea on what kind of music we see way too much.
Then have lots of fun editing, and don't worry if it doesn't look the greatest because most first videos kinda suck. I would say go with what inspires you, because that's the best way to have fun making a vid.
If you want some suggestions...
Trigun is an awesome anime (even though there are about 300 of them), and we have sadly few videos that are any good, so if you're going to spend a long time on this vid I'd like to see some more good vids from this series^_^
And I'd say go with one of your favorite songs on this one. Our taste in music might not be the same as yours.
But tell me what kind of anime you own, and I could say what I think could work for this vid if you want^_^

Like Silver_Moon said, the best way to create an AMV is to use your own inspiration. This may just be me, but when I have the idea, it usually comes along with visions of what I want the final video to look like, or at least pieces of it. When someone else gives me the idea, I usually don't have that inspiration.
Me, I'd wait for an idea to come to you, rather than trying to force yourself into it head long. I usually get ideas from songs rather than from series. I hear a song, I get ideas and visions, I think of series/movies that would go with those ideas, next thing ya know, I'm up at 1 AM placing clips.
So, the advice I am going to give you is peruse your music collection and see what hits you. But that's how I work, you would do best to find a way that works for you.
Good luck making your videos. Make sure you read ErMaC's guide, it's been a HUGE help for me.

You cannot just make a video by asking people what kind of video to make. Very bad idea. The only way to make a video is by inspiration and a lot of thought about the video idea you have. Sure people can go and say make this video or that video; don't use that music or that series.... It's up to you to decide what kind of anime music video you want to create! But you can go on what other people say and you'll make the video some what of a cookie cutter video.
Just look around at what other creators have made and see why they don't like specific series/music combinations. ^_^ I can't remember who said this... "A DBZ/Linkin Park video is a My First AMV kind of video." That is some what true but hey, it's all based on your preceptions of the AMV community and for how long you've been around. They are only suggesting that you don't make another one of those videos... But again, there are those kinds of people who really do enjoy those types of videos as well. But the thing is that most people around here want something original which is hard to come by nowadays.... The choice is up to you on video idea. No one is really pushing you to make specific videos! 8)
Good Luck!

how bout instead of us just spoon feeding you ideas... you give us something to play off of. like...what anime do you have for footage... or what song do you really like that you'd like to create an amv to. don't let us do ur dirty work... the best we can do is say "yes" or "no" to an idea... or help you choose between ideas.
