how hard can it possibly be to rip the dvd's if you own them...i mean sure if you dont have a dvd-rom, it may be slightly difficult(you could more than likely rip them at a friends house). its not that fact that its a frankenstein amv, its more of the fact that it is being hosted, and that it openly says that it is...

maybe we should start burning people at the stake again...

i don't mind people using other amvs for footage, as long as you don't use the original editors edits. But using other's amvs for footage doesn't really say much to the video anyway, so i don't mind. i don't think these people should be "burned at the stake" but i think they should be told that it's not something we as a comunity approve of, and give them the choice to do what ever.

I don't think using other people's footage is a crime, I mean, the anime we use isn't our own, either...

BUT

Just like you credit the anime and its' creators, I'd suggest these AMVers not only give credit to ALL the vids they used, but (since this is very feasible in the community) also seek personal permission from the original editors on using their work, prior to actually making or let alone uploading something like that.

I think that if they can manage to cut the scenes from an AMV without utalizing a single cut, fade, or change what so ever that the previous creator did, the creator of the 'host' AMV should get no credit, except for ripping or what ever.

If the person does use any edits that the original creator made... may this theif burn in hell.

Okay... After watching this I've developed a new opinion...

This AMV contains subtitles, (fansubbed ones)... Who ever made the AMV that the footage this AMV utalizes, should be shot.

the fact that it's only 9.44MB is enough to make me not want to download it. Yes I realize that my vids on the TRIPOD server are only like 9-10 MB but that's so that tripod will host them. Maybe this dipshit should do that too since I use the donut as a resource for larger files and not one that tripod USA will host.
