Anyone see the ending to Green Green? - WARNING SPOILERS!

8)

What did you think?

I feel disappointed yet I dont. I knew what was likely going to have to happen and I even rooted for Futaba to get Yuuske, but after seeing the ending Im not happy how it turned out. After the last episode I felt very bad for Midori and thought she should have been able to hook up with Yuuske. I thought the ending was very very sad.

The show is supposed to be a ecchi romance-comedy. Yet Yuuske and Midori dont hook up, Yuuske and Futaba dont hook up, none of the san baka hook up with their love intersts, in fact no one hooks up with anyone.

And there are discussions now that Yuuske and Futaba are nothing more than just friends. I think Futaba is currently taken aback by the whole Midori-Yuuske love thing and has decided to chill on Yuuske for awhile. I think she realizes he needs a friend now more than a girlfriend and will give it some time. Some have pointed out that Futaba called Ichi-ban-boshi a Baka for calling out to her when the bus was leaving and some think the look on her face showed she was starting to soften to his advances. I think she no longer thinks of the Baka as enemies and realizes they are just goofy gus and she has grown to care for them in a way. When she got there they were like hostile aliens and now sahe has gotten to know them and might even call them friends. That sorta applies to the other guys and the rest of the girls too.

And notice that no one remembers Midori being there. The one guy took a photo of Midori and no one knew who she was except Yuuske( show implied to me that he kept the picture of her) and Futaba(except that we have not seen whether Futaba remembers her)

And it seems Yuuske can communicate with the part of Midori that is inside of him.

There is much speculation for a second season and I think the series gave lots of very strong hints towards such but IIRC the history of Ecchi series sequels is slim. IIRC Ranma 1/2 and Onegai Teacher/Twins is about it.

Heres hoping for a season two. It could be lots of fun.

Honestly..after watching the finale today, I was happy. I personally didn't care much for Midori, and though Futaba was a much better match for Yuusuke. Maybe it was the clingy nature that Midori had that just turned me off..I just preferred the independent nature Futaba-chan had.

*shrugs*

If there is a 2nd season, what could they do? I mean, other than turning the school coed..but that's about it. Maybe I'm not using my imagination enough.

:D

"Living in the Wild, Wild West"

Sorry had to after seeing your new avatar.

the end of Green Green had me tearry eyed as well. Alot of folks I have talked to didnt like Midori that much during the series but really liked her and felt very sad for her in the end.

As far as a sequel there is specualtion that

1) The school goes co-ed and all the girls are back but this time without Midori. I fhtere was to be another season then this storyline I think is the most plausible.

2) Yuuske decides he really does love Midori and wants to be with her and finds a way to go to the future.

I will have to review it to make sure but I thought Reika said that Yuuske and Midori were not fated to ever be together and that Midori is supposed to meet someone in the future and fall in love. If so then the second storyline is unlikely.

Someone said that it will depend on how well the show did in Japan. I heard it has been very popular but have heard nothing official. But even if the show is successful and another season is done we probably wont see it for at least a year or so. Like I said earlier based on the track record of ecchi sequels I would be very suprised if there was a sequel.
