Azumanga Web Daioh

Post by DJ_Izumi » Sat Nov 15, 2003 7:44 pm

Azumanga Web Daioh, as far as I can figure, was a Web only release of an Azumanga Daioh short, which was supposivly fansubbed at some point.

Does anyone know the answer to the fallowing questions?

1) Was Azumanga Web Daioh included in ADV's lisencing deal?
2) Was Azumanga Web Daioh even released to DVD in Japan?
3) If 1 and 2 are both answered with 'no', then where can I download this?

(Now, before the Kindergarteners run off to tattle, screaming 'OMFG BOOTLEGS' keep in mind that if questions 1 and 2 are no's, it's not bootlegging. :P )

1. Who knows, probably not, but then again it would make a good extra or something so maybe they did get it.
2. Nope.
3. There no longer exists an official source to download it from, so you can only get it from someone else that has it.

2) No.

Copying something without permission from the copyright holder is a violation of copyright law even if the material is not commercially available - just like with out of print books. The theory is that as long as the copyright subsists, the copyright holder might possibly some day want to sell it, and you're supposedly "infringing" their right to do that.
