Jonathan, if you want to know more about naruto, either go to shounen jump and read the manga (which in my opinion isn't great) or go to www.narutofan.com and read the translated manga there.
Naruto origonally came from a manga, and in my opinion the manga is better, but if you want to know the basics of the show visit the site and look at the fist few manga issues. The anime itsself is quite excelent, and the battles are very good. The show is fun, and there are about 58 subbed episodes avaidable, but you cant buy it yet unless you import it from japan. Try using Kazaa or e-donkey if you want the episodes.

I've only been reading the manga for this series (anyway to get eye surgery so I can imitate Kakashi?
) and this is the second time I've heard someone say that the U.S. translations aren't that good. Any reason why? Is anything left out in translation or does it just over all suck?

Probably too busy to be here right now.

The US translations arn't bad, the shounen jump translations are....
The manga on www.narutofan.com is translated very well, and they keep the origonal japanese names for the ninja techniques. The Jitsu (ninja skills) in japanese sound way more authentic, and i prefer to at least keep some of the manga real instead of totally english
For example
Kage Bunshin no Jitsu, thats Shadow clone technique in english, the shounen jump manga will refer to the teqnique as shadow clone, while the other manga will refer to them as the tru japanese name.

My opinion of it keeps swaying..
Sometimes its really cool, and other times it just streches on and on.
I think i'm up to like ep 56 already and theres no clear end as to when it will Finish only that this is the 2nd major story line.
Still, that Fuzzy Eyebrows kid is my fav.. he's such a loser but he's soooooo cool.. And I like the Creepy Sand dude and the Creepy Bug dude..
For those who don't know these guys control different Techniques and at one Point they all battle one on one and thats the point I just pasted hense I still think it's really good..

That battle between the two girls that were friends though... damn that was boring...
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else
