Anyone here speak Nihongo?

Post by samurairyu » Thu Nov 13, 2003 5:25 pm

I was just wondering if anyone here speaks Japanese.

I'm studying it here at the U of M and if anyone does we could probably have relatively simple conversations(nouns verbs adjectives).
This is an attempt to help make the time I spend here more productive.

I've been learning it for ~3 years, though for the most part independently and at irregular intervals.

People say I'm alright at it though. I can even read manga OK.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I wish. I'm in "Japanese 2" at the High School, but I took it for 3 years in Middle School (which counted for 1 year)

I'm also gonna through in that here at the U of M we got a great program. One semester is 5 credits, we meet every day and we have about 350 exchange students so multiple speaking partners. I also know one of our Chinese prof. Dr. Cao is really cool(I took 2 classes from him:Chinese culture and civ + Chinese folktales) and although I'm taking JPNS I stop in to see him every once in a while. He can explain anything about Kanji, what each radical means and what they mean when put together in specific orders.

I just spend alot(about an hour a day  ) of time here and I thought it could be useful to get in some extra practice.

For those of you who don't also read genetic code, these are the nucleotide sequences of all the amino acids that our bodies produce on a regular basis(Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionin, Phenylalanine, Threonine,Tryptophan, and Valine aren't actually produced in our bodies seeing as how we get them in out diet but I included them anyways).

These were on my ANTH 267 Human Genetics test today...

God that was a tough one

I came out victorious of course but damn it was long.
