Also! Excel's dub voice= most horrible thing on earth.

Which voice? I never listened to the dub, but I know that the voice actress for Excel changed halfway through the show.

Is it because the first voice actress scratched her voice? Doing Excel's voice can be VERY tough.

And they were charging $39.99 for general anime DVDs, $49.99 for certian other ones. :|
Aaah! Thats freaky! Now I'll bet your going to tell me my real name, address, phone number, and post my picture on the net aren't ya?

But ya see. $40 for a MOther fricken DVD is wrong, especialy when you got to buy 4-6 dvds in that series, that hovers around $200 (Give or take the taxs)

No, even better. :D I rented many ADV animes from Gamezilla, including the entire Evangelion series. (Well, the first half, I had to get the other half from another store) I then copied all those tapes using two VCRs... Then I copied my copies, and sold those copies to the 9th and 10th graders at Riverview High School.

I made $600...! Ah ha ha ha ha. XD

Uh...I hope you've read the forum rules. It's not exactly wise to be bragging about such things and I for one find that kind of behavior apalling.

I like to think of the bright side...

Before I broke the law, those kids thaught Dragon Ball Z was the hottest thing since sliced bread... I got them into things like Evangelion, Lain, Nadesico...

I saved their geeky little souls. :)

No...you damned them. You showed them Lain (oh no, here comes another flame about me hating Lain).

Regardless of you "spreading the word," I don't think anime companies appreciate it since they ultimately still lose the money. It's not like those kids are going to immediately go buy it. Ultimately all you did is create more fans that don't do anything positive for the industry. Just more faceless people demanding things from companies even though they don't pay.

At the same time, it's good to "spread the word" or whatever, but I do it with my own legal copies or with rentals. It helps two ways, the obvious one we are discussing *and* it puts money into the industry...more money for industry = the *possibility* of more and better anime. It's quite simple...
