Help on encoding into a HIGHER RESOLUTION!!!

I read the guide and followed all the instructions, but everytime I try to make a quick avi copy of the AVS file right before it reaches 100% it stop because of some error. And Windows shuts down Virtual Dub. Is there another codec I can use other than PICVideo MJPEG codec? Because its not working...

If you've got the hard drive space for it, I recommend HuffYUV (but only taking the scenes you need and not whole episodes, because the files are really really big).

Adding onto that, yes, HuffYUV are massive (uncompressed is worse filesize wise, but awsome when editing). Also, do what ErMaC says, he knows what he's doing, and take my advice: stick to simple AVS things.

I would just recommend opening the AVS files in your editing program instead of making intermidiate files. While I understand some people's motivations for doing so (save editing time and space) I always want to see exactly what the final product will look like while I'm editing, so no crummy MJPEG files for me.

If PicVideo isn't working for you though, try using Indeo with the Quick Compress checkbox in the codec properties box checked. It works ok, not great, but ok.
