I agree with u guys that it does take a lot of work and coordination with all the people in the group to do a project. I is soooo easy to just fall apart if there is no cooperation. I never knew that there was an anime that was done with discovery, was it good.

was this a question ?
Anyway, the anime is good, if you like them usic and old style Anime. It looks like Harlock saga. Maybe you've seen some parts of this movie, because this movie is nothing more than all Daft Punk Discovery's music videos put together (and that tell a story).

You may have seen these music videos with blue musicians being kidnapped : this is it.
If you've not sen it, some of the music videos are downloadable on the movies website (the link has already been in a previous post)

Though I don't know how you measure "success".

Sorry for the necropost, but some french amv creators started such a project recently, so some of you might be interested.

The info is here
http://membres.lycos.fr/project5555/

If you're smart, you'll notice that the site is in French, but if you're smarter you'll see a "tracklist" link ;)

the rules are the following :
they don't want you to use an anime already used in the project, and they don't wan't you to use Interstella5555...
each song is splitted, I think this is to have shorter tracks (easier) and more participants.
and the classical ones : no violence, no hentai, no subs, etc...

On a technical point of view, they are really flexible, as long as you provide some good quality (a HQ DivX is good enough, even if obviously they'd prefer HuffYUV, I think)

At least one of the coordinators speaks english, so if you're interested, you can send them an email to project_5555@yahoo.fr

Erwan

PS : I am not a coordinator of this project, so don't ask me anything about it (except translating some french pages  )
