Escaflowne Music? [music for an Escaflowne video]

I'm thinking about making an Escaflowne movie, have even started ripped most of the footage of Esca, but the music that fits the animation style is hard to find. I was thinking about Flogging Molly would make an interesting one, but their music doesn't have that crisp quality on CD's that is neccisarry. Does anyone have any suggestions of places I should look for inspiration?

1. what kind of music video will it be? romance, action, drama, etc.?
2. what kind of tone do you want to give it? sweet, dark, angsty, melancholy, etc.?
