This is not exactly a reasonable assertion. Now, two that could be reasonable are if one thinks "If a video is that bad, one ought not review it" with which I don't agree, but it's a valid opinion, and "Anything that unusual (I don't remember how many scales there are, but several m(b?)illion to one odds...) deserves a good deal of commenting," with which I agree. However, if '1' is never acceptable why is it there, and if it's acceptable for each scale why is it not for all scales? The statement cannot be logically asserted as-is; in the literal usage it is "non-sense"

I've never gotten an all 1's or an all10's review, but I'm guilty of having given an all 1's and 2's one before (NDWs video "Losing Close Friends") and I admit it was petty and childish of me. What I don't like is when I get opinions that are self-contradictory, and make assumptions and judgements that aren't backed up by evidence or even knowing WTF they are on about. One of the reviews I got for my Eva-Bring Me To Life basically said "It's good but it's bad; the quality was great but it looked like shit; it had a storyline, where the fuck was the plot?" and thats just fucking stupid.

But I agree that giving someone low scores without providing reasonable justification is just petty and childish, and their isn't any room for it here.

However I just deal with it in my own way...basically verbally ripping their witless opinions to pieces. I don't mind low scores, but only if they're given honestly and with REAL coherent reasons to back them up. But when someone tells me my Forever AMV isn't original...yeah it's pretty apparent they're out for a personal attack.

Personally though, I think some of you are a bit hypocritical, I've seen "good standing" regs of this community give nasty, biased reviews. Granted I'm not exactly on everyones Christmas card list, but still, I get a lot of shit and a lot of bad reviews simple cause I'm not the fit in and play nice kinda guy. *shrugs*

My attitude is that no matter what you do, there's always gonna be someone who loves it, someone who hates it, and someone who just doesn't give a fuck. Best cater to the people who love it and just ignore the people who hate it...or make sport of them, ya know, either way. `, )

I couldn't care less if everyone here absolutely detested me and wish they'd never met me, but all I ask is that they're fair with their opinions. It's a judging on editing skills, not a character assessment.

Anyway, I am glad to find out that the highest and lowest ops are tossed out. I was hoping something like that could be done; I got a raft of reviews lately that seem designed to get on my good side so that I would go to the reviewer's website or something. Um...yeah, I don't work that way. But luckily they won't screw up my average.
