Anyone RP?

Hi! I'm a newbie to this board, so you can move this if you think it's in the wrong place. But it'll be a while until I have the time/equipment to make my own AMV, so I decided that I had to start somewhere.

Anyways, I am considering starting up an anime roleplaying group, and I was curious if anyone would be interested in joining? It would more than likely be Fushigi Yuugi or Trigun, but it has not yet been a hundred percent decided. And it would be more of a storyline type group, not just something random.

I've just noticed that most groups are inactive and/or can't get enough members, so I don't want to put a ton of effort into something if no one even wants to.

I RP. Have been for 5+ years, now.
But I don't do it in forums or email, just in chat rooms. I use a style called Parabase(AKA descriptive, t1, and is related to TB).

I don't do anime RPGs, either, because playing somebody else's character is just unoriginal and stupid in my opinion. It's also very frustrating when you want so-and-so to do somehting, but aren't sure if it'd be in character or not... But I'm sure not too many people worry about that(since they're not into RP as much as I am).

ANYHOW... J-0080 basically answered your question, and I'm just an oldie complaining about noobie RPers...

Plus, this belongs in General Off-topic...

Actually SQ most people aren't even using pre-existing anime chars. In fact I think only 1 person didn't create their own.

And those tend ot not be plot-driven... And anyway, you guys don't do parabase, do you?

Hey,

Well it does have basis in certain aspects of anime, I would really call it more of an anime/fantasy hybrid.

And so far Ozzie has done a good job of giving people individual plots, and weaving those together.

But you could always visit the info section on the site to answer your questions, or sent a IM to Ozzie.

Yeah what he said. This is actually the 3rd incarnation of my rpg(there were 2 others but I don't count them cause they died right off the bat from bringing back the same people who were sick of rping). The first two didn't have much of a plot and were pretty much just fighting tournaments. But this time I'm actually making a plot.
