There aren't many male voice actors with high voices, but there are a few female ones with deep voices. So, the deep voiced women do the voices of male characters. Also, I don't think there are any children voice actors, so women have to do the voices so they aren't deep.

Yuo only just noticed Nancy Cartwright's name in the credits? Her autobiography is called "My Life as a Twelve-Year-Old Boy".

I've known about Miss Cartwright playing Bart forever, but even when I saw her on The Actors Studio do impressions of Bart, it was kind of to imagine that it was a woman doing that. Just show's she's got a lot of vocal talent.

As for Sarah Strange playing male Ranma, I thought that was a male actor doing a really bad dub when I first heard it. Now I know better.
Probably too busy to be here right now.

Acctually, if we count American dub voice actors, Fruits Basket's Hiro is done but a little boy. I read on the DVDs that he's done quite a few FUNImation kids voices.

I want to be a girl!
I dunno man. I kind of like being able to stand up to relieve myself, not worry abt rape from the opposite gender, enjoying action/gory movies, loving cars and computers, being a slob and scratching my parts and getting away with it. NOt to mention have mood swings from biological cycles, wait around for a guy to ask me out for a date or prom, spending large amounts of money on jewelry, lingerie and make up(spend it on gadgets, better investment) and best of all, NEVER giving birth and worrying abt ethical issues of abortion.

Sure, it might be fun for about a week, but then...NO, I think its a reward for good works in my past life that I get to become a guy.

Actually, there have been cases of men being raped by women.
