I love sake. I've never had spiced wine though.

I dunno. I'm sure that a big part of it was the fact that it was chilled (I've heard that most people drink it warm) but it was just... not good. As for the spiced wine, it smelled really good, but by the time I got to it I think it was just plain too cold. I just use those bad experiences as an excuse to say that I hate the taste so people don't pressure me to drink.

Oh yeah, I had my sake really hot. I hear that's the best way to drink it...
Anyway, good idea. Pressure is bad. I do hate the taste of most alcohol though, especially beer.

Alright, if you really want this to be brought back on topic...
The meaning of life is to discover soul, preserve it, and cleanse it of the pleasures of the body before death of the body. If the soul is not separate from the pleasures of the body at death, it will cling and die with the body.
I'm not really a dualist, I just wanted to throw that out there.

*shrug* Isn't half the fun of forums just the act of getting off-topic? I dunno. I still like Douglas Adams' assertion that the answer to life, the universe and everything is 42--essentially, life is random, chaotic and pointless.
I don't actually believe that, though. I'm an Evangelical Fundamentalist, so of course I'm going to believe that the meaning of life is serving God. But that answer, though I believe it's true, is boring....

heh ... i used to think i hated beer ... then i tried it again a few weeks ago ... it's not that bad, well at least i can tolerate it, but as long as it isn't in a glass or a clear bottle ... i hate looking at that shit when i drink it ... it jsut reminds me of piss way to much to feel comfortable drinking it.flint_the_dwarf wrote:Oh yeah, I had my sake really hot. but actualy, the real topic of this thread is "why is the meaning of life" ... well i'd have to say that with out knowing a concrete definition on what the meaning of life is, it would be pretty hard to define why it is ... after all were having enough trouble trying to figure out what it is, let alone why it is.
Oh, and if any one's ever tried sambuka, that stuff is actualy pretty good ... it's really hard, but good. Tastes just like black licorish(sp?) and leaves an interesting warm feeling in your mouth, throat and stomach ... note: i said warm, not burning, like vodka (devil juice).
