Obviously some more advanced civilazation millions of light years away discovered reality tv is the pinnacle of insatiable entertainment eons ago. They created this planet to serve their needs.
Cats and dogs, so called pets are really ingenious camera systems that observe our every move and record it. The dogs were the early model and was not able to transmit as well as they used sound waves (howls) to send the signal back during the time th moon was in place to bounce the signal (full moon)...very inefficient.
About the era of the egyptians, cats were installed as the new model and so far new models come out every so often, new and improved. They transmit through concentrated geographical transmission...known to us as cat naps.
Our creation of reality tv is their version of the truman show...we just haven't got the joke yet ^_~

This is my opinion on the meaning of life. I am an atheist and a utilitarian.
---------------------------------------------------
The meaning of life is to pursue happiness.
Why is the meaning of life to pursue happiness? I will answer this from an evolutionary perspective. Happiness is an emotion that inclines us to do things that improve our health and sexual success. We are products of evolution, and happiness is an emotion that cognitive species (including us) have evolved.
Our voluntary actions (which I will use to represent our lives) are determined by our motives. Our motives are determined by what makes us happy. We can use Maslow's hierarchy of needs (motives) to break down happiness. Our needs are physiological (hunger, pleasure, sex), safety, love, esteem, and self-actualization.
It should be obvious why physiological and safety needs relate to health and sexual success. We have the need for love because we have evolved as a social species, and we usually have greater health and sexual success living in social circles. Our esteem need comes from our tendency to imagine how others perceive us. This is another product of our evolution as a social species. Our self-actualization need makes us to get off our asses and do things that make us happy for the sake of doing them.
These statements assume Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, which have not been proven.

Well, not entierly your fault ... but it still is yours ... a bit.Trident wrote:Hehe... actually it's not so much you as the fact that you're deriving sexual pleasure out of my avatar...
