Maybe people would buy CDs more often if everyone followed in Universal's footsteps. Lower the cost of media! I buy all the CDs I can, the quality vastly out-weighs the cost. But thus is the life on an audiophile. Personally I wish more music was released on Record, the quality is well worthwhile!

yea...but some artists only have 1 song on the album that you like, and you hate the rest and you have to pay $20 for one song

That's the point, you will spend $30 on the movie, but then they want you to go out and buy the only song in the soundtrack you liked for yet another $20? Of course not. But what about $10? Besides who pays full retail ($19.99), surely you shop discount, then you talking a mere $13-15! But still that's allot. So what happens when the retail price is dropped to that $15 pricetag? The discount price drops even lower :D , closer to that $10 range. That's more like it.

no,no your don't. They're called singles buddy, less than $5. And most of the time they come with moe than one song, like 3 or 4.

Figured I'd add a positive spin to all this:

A P2P group is going to pay the $2,000 the little girl owes. I find this humorous to say the least.

Then they think "oh I like this" and alot of the time they run out and buy the album, because they know that CDs are much better quality than downloaded music.

Did you know what the Record Industry over here were going to try and do? increase the price of CD and DVD media by 10%. So they think that we have nothing better to do than sit at home and copy music and movies. Oh, but that was still going to be illegal, they said. So basically they were trying to make us pay to do something that was still illegal. That makes me..... well lets just say it makes me mad.
ppl need to step back from the issue and see it for what it really is before they jump to conclusions (get it? recoil-jump?!! hehe I just thought of that /falls down). This type of situation is good for the little under-rated guy but NOT for the over-rated Eminem wanabee you already know about... and d'ya really think the RIAA really gives a shit about the little guy when there's over-ratedness to spread around?? Lemee illustrate this 'OMG the big one-hit-wonder, Linkin Park, lost millions of dollars due to people downloading their songs (wich sound like shit anyway) instead of buying the cd!! I'll sue!' Than you say 'no! the lil' Daft Punk would never had released their songs to the mass public so Linkin Park can have more competition and be showed up for the crap they are!' RIAA: 'But Linkin Park is MONEY for nothing, we like MONEY = Linkin Park = happy RIAA, see ya in court.'

don't act like your not doing anything bad (in the constitutional sense of the word) ya are... but as been said over and over and over old values just HAVE to be revised every now and than times change.

why??? the CEO that pulled the chain couldn't see a face just a user name. Obviously the kid was a> dumb or b> important enough that he has to have a specific username not the generic defaultuser@kazaalite.com in that case they must sniff out the competition.
