Same here. Thanks!

By the way, that first video should not have been in the contest. It violated Shoujocon's trolling rule and was marked "for exhibition". I hope it was played only as an introduction to the show.

A general question, out of curiosity...are Rurouni Kenshin and Weiss Kreuz shojo anime? I've watched only a piece of the first one and none of the second.

I suppose. Her CDs are for sale in the better stores around here, although they have only one or two copies at any given time.

I heard about her because I'm a long time fan of Mylene Farmer. I was browsing Mylene Web sites one evening and came across some text about Alizee. Apparently, she is Mylene's protege (if that's the right word). Mylene write the lyrics, Boutennant writes the music (he does most of Mylene's music, too), and Alizee sings. Good stuff, although I've noticed that most of the songs have the same style and construction. Someone called her music "synth-pop", whatever that means.

Pictures of her are here for anyone who's interested. Music (streamed) is there, too.

Unfortunately, a few of the exhibition videos got played in the regular show -- but they didn't win, so that seems to have worked itself out. ;-p

That was a bit of confusion this year. For the first three years, we were allowing only videos made from shoujo shows. This year, the rule was relaxed and shows from other anime were allowed in as long as they followed shoujo *themes*. Rurouni Kenshin is shonen, but the video had a romance theme and therefore was allowed in. Weiss Kreuz, on the other hand, really is shoujo, and we've had an American voice actor guest from it, Jamie McGonnigal.

Yeah, apparently all exposition entries were thrown in the contest as well, and like Larissa said, none of them won, so there was no harm done. I might be doing tech next year if Alma and Carol get re-elected to run the contest so I'll have to look into that and see what they want. Thanks for all the submissions guys!!

Thanks for the list, and with links to...

Yep...videos made the contest that were just exhibition... My three videos that made the contest were all exhibition. The video I made that was for the competition didn't make the finals. To say I was confused.

Even if they didn't win, the exhibition vids may have pulled votes from some of the legitimate entries. That's the only problem I can see.

BTW, the link for Tom the Fish's "The Top of the Rain" is incorrect. It should be:
